Things to do

There's so many things that I would like to do and get done this year. I told myself that I would definitely make time. Even I am getting tired of hearing my most common use excuse which is "I don't really have time for it". Until now, I am contemplating whether or not it could be true. Don't I really have time or maybe I just wouldn't want to make time. I can't help but feel a sudden pang of envy every time I would talk to friends and listen to things they have done or currently doing. So this year, I vow to make the most of every spare time in my hands.

First thing on my list is finding a course in dress making/sewing. Don't ask me why, it may just be another of my 1001 fads but we'll see how it goes...

I promise to read more this year. It's already March and I've only read 2 books, yes just a mere 2. First was Sophie Kinsella's Twenties Girl which was a Christmas gift from Dang. She knows I like Kinsella's light-hearted approach to writing, the type where you don't have to stress about the plot nor would you have sleepless nights trying to wonder what the next chapter holds. It's a good book to read on the train on your way to work, where half of your brain also needs to be conscious about the things around you, or else you'll miss your stop. The second book (well, I'm just finishing it) is another fiction called Astrid and Veronika, the first novel of Linda Olsson. A very talented writer who writes very elegantly and vividly... you'll lose yourself amongst the pages and find yourself transported to various places and time.

Next thing that I need to do is watch more films. I can't even remember the last movie I saw in the cinema. There are just so many good films that are out at the moment and I'm afraid I'm missing out on them. It's not like I'm waiting for them to be released on DVD, even that I can't be bothered to do.

I also want to travel more (holidays to the Philippines doesn't count) bake more...learn sugar craft...make home-made jams and preserves...learn to knit... the list seems to be endless so really, I better crack on!

My journey

I created this blog with a view to be able to look back and tell myself that my life has been worth living. I am not looking to make a huge difference in other peoples lives nor would like to change anything or anybody. I am doing this for myself that maybe one day I can turn around and say... that's one hell of a great journey. So from this moment on I am taking it day by day, with a promise to look forward to future great expectations x
